Driving In Our Beautiful Region
To enjoy these routes and the many others in our district we recommend that
drives (and passengers) following these considerations:
- Drive at 60 kph so that you can all enjoy the views and to safely negotiate
the country roads
- During mist or rain please drive slowly and carefully on the mountain passes
as the road surfaces can be very slippery
- As we are home to many endangered and important animals and birds at dusk
and dawn (and during the night) take extra care as wildlife will be crossing
the road. Drivers are reminded that they are responsible for any injury to
native wildlife hit on the road. In the advent of an accident please call
WIRES
- Kangaroo Valley’s public and pre school are located in the village.
Please drive carefully especially during early morning mist.
Climate Change and Responsible Tourism
The Kangaroo Valley Tourist Association is implementing a carbon offset programme
so that visitors can make an environmental contribution. As part of this policy
many accommodation providers and activity companies provide free train transfer
from Berry station. There is also a regular daily bus service from Nowra and
Moss Vale.
