Rivermist is an idyllic getaway location in the heart of Kangaroo Valley. It
offers six luxurious bedrooms on five acres of absolute tranquility right within
one minute's walking distance of the pub, shops and eateries. The covered verandah
provides a lovely place to curl up with a good book or a short stroll up the
driveway accesses the supermarket and everything the village has to offer including
galleries, the lolly shop, the woodwork shop, antique shops, old books and more...

refurbished, conveniently located guest house is highly suitable for group bookings.
Rivermist has been completely redecorated and updated while retaining its gracious
and peaceful charm. All rooms have external entries, ensuites, tv's, new beds,
posturepaedic mattresses, wireless internet and access to the guests' lounge
where visitors can relax on the leather lounges, enjoy tea and coffee, and move
seamlessly onto the 40 metre verandah with the view of the mountains and immediate
access to the river. New barbecue facilities mean that guests may eat in; alternatively,
it's a one minute walk to the country bakery, the Friendly Inn pub, Hampden's
Fine Dining, Cafè Bella and a short drive to Jing Jo's Thai restaurant and the
local bowling club which now has a new chef offering a variety of local and imported
food to world class standards.
The beauty of Rivermist lies in its five acre location on Kangaroo River, starry
nights and mountain views, its long north-facing verandah, the lovely spacious
and secluded rooms, the generous guest lounge and outside eating facilities.
Rivermist prides itself on its Australian heritage and the dècor echoes early
Australian history.
Rooms are priced according to mountain views or garden views. All rooms have
external verandah entry, are decorated individually and named after famous Australian
poets. If the whole house is rented, by special arrangement guests may have access
to the library/conference room/grand dining room. The owners may help with catering
for special occasions and can recommend activities if required. For privacy,
hot breakfasts are not provided, but the guest lounge has selected teas and plunger
coffee facilities, a toaster, microwave, milk, fruit and basics. The bakery opens
early with fresh bread and delicacies. The supermarket backing the property opens
at 7:30 am and offers fresh deli food, papers and everything necessary for a
happy morning while restaurants provide breakfast, lunch and dinner.
